Its nonpartisan purposes are to bring together women who are business, professional, and civic leaders, to foster a communications network between them with programs that enlighten, and to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas.

MISSION STATEMENT

To create a forum for the exchange of ideas and information.

To support our members both professionally and personally.

To welcome prospective members with similar goals and shared interests.

Charter 100 was born in San Diego in 1978, when a small group of high caliber women from different fields visited over an informal lunch.

Charter 100 was born in San Diego in 1978, when a small group of high caliber women from different fields visited over an informal lunch. They found their shared ideas and information so valuable that they decided to form an organization to meet regularly. As the concept developed, it became clear that Charter 100 would best suit its purpose as a professional network if its membership was limited and its standards high. Independent Charter 100 groups soon followed in Phoenix, Dallas, Washington, D. C., San Francisco, Orange County, California, Mexicali, Mexico, and here in Houston.
